Foot rest

Just finished creating a new Foot Rest for my mum's apartment. You will need an Ikea storage basket, cotton and a nice pattern.
The bottom of your basket will be used to create the top part of the Foot Rest. To do so, turn the storage basket and add cotton on top and cover it with a cute pattern, use a staple gun to fix the pattern on the inside part of the storage basket.

Cut two wooden sticks and nail the two pieces at the bottom of your storage basket.

Finally done, I'm so happy of the result.

Impressive DIY Lego Table

Sarah is a stay at home mom of three amazing children, if like her children you have a large collection of Legos, you might wanna create a Lego Table like she did. Well done Sarah, this is a great and creative idea.

Supplies Needed

  • IKEA Ingo Dining Table
  • IKEA Trofast buckets (she got the medium sized ones)
  • Jigsaw
  • Drill with spade bit
  • Sandpaper
  • Spray Paint
  • Clear Sealant
    How To

    First step-assemble that table!

She carefully measured out where on the table she wanted the buckets. She used a straight-edged level to make sure the rectangles were perfect.

Each rectangle is 15.75" across, and 10.25 inch tall
I measured in 4" from the side of the table
I measured 2.25" from the top of the table.

Use your spade drill bit (you can buy one at any hardware store) to make a hole, up near one of the corners.  This is how you will start your cut with the jigsaw.

Next, use your jigsaw to cut out the rectangles, following the lines you previously drew.  It's ok if they are not exact!
Here are the rectangles, pre-sanding, and painting.
If you aren't a huge fan of the pine look, you can spray it in white.

Drop in the bins,  and fill with Legos!
(those bins hold A TON of Legos)

Thanks Sarah for your creative and amazing work!

Damn backwards jealousy!

Getting jealous, uhmmm not really and never with your boyfriend's current female friends. On that point I guess we all agree, female friends are definitely not an issue.

Do you ever get jealous? For example you hear in a conversation the name of his ex-girlfriend, how do you usually react? Do you keep listening to the conversation or do you just keep doing what you do with no interest for his ex-girlfriend?

Women are getting very creative when it comes to jealousy, it is amazing how much time we can waste and how much women have this ability to torture themselves just to get a tiny drop of information about how his ex-girlfriend looked like or is he still in contact with her.

We humans not only have the tendency to become jealous over imagined threats, we also don’t often seem to take into account the “cost” of certain behaviors. Spending your time watching, following, or checking up on a partner takes time away from accomplishing your own goals. So, word from the wise, put down that magnifying glass and stop doing detective work. If you’re looking for something, you will find it. And what you most likely will find is that it only increases your jealous ways. The more you check your partner’s phone and social stalk them, the more obsessed you become. Therefore, if you want to lessen your jealous feelings, you need to lessen this behavior.

Whitepod, a unique place to relax

Looking for an amazing place to stay for a week or a weekend, I found this Whitepod Eco_Luxury Hotel in the Swiss Alps. This place is like a dream where you get the fresh air of the Alps, it is isolated from any nuisance in a breathtaking landscape.

You can also enjoy playing tennis, 5 minutes from the Whitepod you have two outdoor tennis fields, that is just amazing.

What I like most about this place is the Sauna, imagine after a day outside you can have a peaceful moment at the Spa.

Ready to roast the perfect marshmallows over a Campfire?

The Scandinavian Style

What I really like about the Scandinavian design is the neutral color like beige, white and pale and what is really getting famous is to add an injection of yellow, grey or black color that makes it succeed as a Scandinavian look.

The furniture designs are usually streamlined without extra decorative additions. The furniture should be painted in light colors in order to render more light. Look for items like wood-framed couch with white, gray checked material on cushion and simple light-wood table and chairs.

Scandinavians live many months in darkness, so sunlight and fresh air are appreciated elements of décor.
