Formgivers

Formgivers has an amazing portfolio, depending on the project they communicate their design solutions through sketches, 3D models...
Have seen them working and believe me they know what is the meaning of design.

Linnéstaden Sweden - Apartment

I have to say most of the lovely designed apartments that have seen in my life are Swedish.
They know how to decorate small and bigger apartments.
This awesome flat is situated in Linnéstaden.
It is an old building which has been redisigned in modern interior.
It is really chic and cozy, I love it!

Portable little laundry

This pedal-powered cylinder has just one wash cycle – the one your power in order to shrink your appliance (and not your clothes). It looks like anything by a manual laundry machine, more like a hamper perhaps or most like, well, a trash can for your clothes. However, this odd little design packs a lot of innovative technological ideas and functional concepts into a very small-space unit that requires no plumbing or electrical port.

Aside from this mini-and-portable invention saving space, why would anyone want to use their own energy to manually run a mod
ern appliance? For starters, students in dorms and adults in apartments, condos or other communal living spaces often have concerns about privacy, safety and health when it comes to more public-access washing machines, dryers and laundry areas. Many are willing to make sacrifices to have their own in-home washers.

So why not just wash your clothes in a sink? Way better than hand washing, this compact and self-contained washer lets you keep your hands clean and dry while your load of laundry cycles through the system. Easy top loading and a slim circular shape make it easy to tuck in a spare corner of a bathroom or other space, and since it does not have to be plugged into the pipes it is all the more simple to move and store as needed. Still a student design (for now) by Shang-Che Wu of the
NTUST Design Dept, it is hard to imagine that this would do anything but well in urban markets!

Boxed Water

Part sustainable water company, part art project, part philanthropic project, and completely curious. Boxed Water Is Better, is a boxed water company.

Started with the simple idea of creating a new bottled water brand that is kinder to the environment and gives back a bit - The Boxed Water found that it shouldn't be bottled at all, but instead, boxed. So they looked to the past for inspiration in the century old beverage container and decided to keep things simple, sustainable, and beautiful.

About 85% of the Boxed Water container is made from a renewable resource, trees, that when harvested in a responsible, managed, and ethical way serve as an amazing renewable resource that benefits the environment even as it's renewed. They ship the boxes flat to their filler which is significantly more efficient compared to shipping empty plastic or glass bottles to be filled.
They really care about the world's water supply. 10% of their profit is donated to world water relief foundations.

I love the idea of drinking water when that helps to plant
more trees and protect our forests.

Anti-Theft Lunch bags

If you are like me, tired of having your food stolen by sticky-fingered bullies? Well, worry no more. Anti-Theft Lunch Bags are sandwich bags that have green splotches printed on both sides, making your freshly prepared lunch look spoiled. Don't suffer the injustice of having your sandwich stolen again!
Believe me it does work, I tried it already
and no-one has been eating my lunch.

Haagen Dazs

Haagen Dazs hosted a private concert
(Dolce Heavenly Concert) in Tokyo for 100 lucky couples.
The night featured prominent classical musicians,
big comfy beds for sitting or sleeping in during the show
and unlimited Ice Cream. Imagine being able to see
a concert and fall asleep during the show.
That sounds good to me!

New York Health & Design

Burn Calories

Take the Stairs!

New York city: The new advertising slogan

Bamboo Bike Studio

Welcome to the Bamboo Bike Studio, where Self-Propulsion and Sustainable Entrepreneurship Go Hand in Hand.

The mission is twofold: provide every cyclist the experience of building his or her dream bike from scratch, while advancing sustainable entrepreneurship and development through financing bamboo bike factories in Africa and South America.
One weekend is all it takes to fabricate a frame from bamboo,
a renewable and performance-positive material growing right in our backyard, assemble the components, and roll away with a custom-fitted ride, tuned to your body and cycling style. And the cost of the class directly supports the Bamboo Bike Studio’s efforts to seed the first bamboo bike factory in Ghana, where reliable and cheap bicycle transportation can dramatically improve access to jobs, commerce, education, basic food and water resources, and health care.

MERCI Store in Paris

MERCI is a new Store concept on Boulevard Beaumarchais in Paris.

The choice of designers' wear and vintage is well selected, you will also enjoy the Café Bouquiniste with its big assortments of old and new books, is simply awesome! And special mention to the haberdashery! Looks really nice.

I like the fact that the store is arranged like a house, if you get the chance to visit Paris then you should stop by the Store.

Scanditaste.com in Tokyo

Food art by Marja

I found this "food art" way to decorate your plates in case you would
like to prepare a buffet presentation.

Marja with her famous apple tarts.
SCANDITASTE.COM was founded 2000 by Marja Kullberg.

Her background in design, studies in Ikebana and strong interest in cooking lay the foundation to the catering business and are constantly emphasized in all aspects of the experience.
